ASG Group have become one of the few Microsoft partners in Australia to earn the Microsoft Advanced Specialisation: Windows Server and SQL Server Migration to Microsoft Azure.
The certificate is awarded to partners that meet stringent criteria around customer success and staff skilling, as well as passing a third-party audit of migration practices.
The achievement coincides with the global increase in demand for cloud offerings that saw Microsoft post 48 percent sales growth for its Azure cloud in Q1 of 2020.
According to Gartner, cloud technology, which underpinned the world’s economy, global supply chains and remote workforces during the recent global pandemic, will continue to be an essential target for organisations in the year ahead. The research firm anticipates that combined spend on public cloud will reach $10.4 billion in 2021.
For those organisations looking to migrate more applications to the cloud, choosing a partner with an advanced specialisation status provides them with a high level of confidence that the migration will be successful and that the benefits of being in the cloud will be realised sooner.
Dean Langenbach, Chief Executive Officer at ASG Group said, “The Advanced Specialisation in Windows Server and SQL Server Migration to Azure further cements ASG’s proven track record and commendable success in helping clients migrate to a cloud-first business and realise their full potential.
This certification demonstrates to our clients that we not only meet the current standards but will continually evolve our business in line with the advancing cloud practices and services.”
In order to achieve this new partner status, ASG had to demonstrate an active Gold Cloud Platform competency; meet a minimum performance standard from at least five customers in a 12 month period; complete a rigorous third-party remote audit; and have a minimum number of certified experts across a number of Microsoft specialisations.
ASG presently has more than 100+ Microsoft Certified consultants in Modern Workplace, Microsoft Business Applications and Application and Infrastructure.
ASG Group has a number of successful migrations under its belt including a world class modernised data platform delivered for Main Roads WA; a large-scale Azure migration for Unitywater; and enterprise grade CRM overhauls for Western Power, and Business Australia.
