Recently the Prime Minister announced sophisticated cyber-attacks had been targeting Australian government and private sector agencies. The announcement was followed by the news that the government would be committing $1.35 billion over the next decade – it’s largest ever investment into cyber security – to enhance the cyber security capabilities and assistance provided to Australians.
While cyber-attacks are not new, the Prime Minister confirmed that the frequency, scale, and sophistication of attacks has been increasing over the last few months with cyber security a constant battle for Australian organisations to stay on top of.
At ASG, we wanted to remind all stakeholders that we take our client’s security and our own security very seriously. As Australia’s genuine alternative to the global digital transformation players, it is our personal level of service, and commitment to providing a safe pair of hands, that sets us apart from other IT providers.
As a partner of the Federal Government’s Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) and a member of the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP), ASG Group is provided with continuous threat intelligence, which allows us to continually update our own internal security programs, as well as our clients.
With many of our clients in the enterprise and government space – such as the Departments of Defence, Infrastructure and Communications, and Finance – security has always been a top priority and an area we continue to invest in and strengthen.
Over our 20-year history, this investment has led to the development of solutions and proven practices that give our clients confidence and peace of mind, along with strong partnerships with leading vendors that ensure we provide services that are relevant and effective.
Our services include: security consulting; managed security services; cyber defence; identity and access management; secure infrastructure delivery and application security; and DevOps.
As Australian organisations continue to move forward in light of recent events, we should all be reminded that security is in all our best interests, and that we should be working together to strengthen our defence.
ACT SECURITY ROADSHOW
To support this, our ACT team is about to launch a Security roadshow within the Federal Government sector over the coming months. This presents a timely opportunity to engage government agencies with a presentation of ASG’s Security functions, capability, and experience, including further insights from our top experts on strengthening cyber resilience in government.
If you would like to schedule a meeting for your organisation, or would like to consult with our security team on anything related to the above, please submit your information using the form below and we will be in touch.
