Rural Aid will today deliver 80 bales of hay to Wingham in NSW, to provide much needed support to the local community who have been affected by the ongoing bushfires and drought.

The pre-Christmas delivery has been funded through a $20,000 donation made by ASG Group and will provide two full semi-trailer truck loads of hay, supplying eight farms in Wingham for the next four weeks.

In addition, ASG Group’s contribution will also support face to face counselling for farmers across the nation.

ASG Group General Manager Marketing and Communications, Milly Collison said: “The recent bush fires and the ongoing drought means that many of our farmers and regional communities are experiencing hardship.

“We are proud to have partnered with Rural Aid to provide some support to our farmers during these tough times.

”While our contribution will be of some help, I urge all Australians either individual or corporate, to make donations to support our rural communities.

“Just this month, the Australia Government confirmed its continued fiscal support for farmers and rural communities affected by drought.”

Rural Aid NSW Business Development Manager, Craig Marsh said:

“At Rural Aid we are working to help regional communities and farmers across Australia during tough times. Every bit counts and I would like to thank ASG Group for their contribution to help us support our farmers.”
